Terry is a native of Washington Parish and has lived in Franklinton, LA for most of her life. She was married to J.Y.Seal and is now a widowed mother and grandmother.

Painting has been her primary hobby for about 45 years. She has painted in acrylics, oils and watercolors. In recent years her favorite medium has been watercolors. 

She studied painting with Carl Thorp for many years and credits his teaching with any success she has had in art. Terry has also studied with numerous other nationally-known artists at workshops.

She has won many ribbons at the Washington Parish Free Fair Art Show and other shows in the area. Her artwork has been chosen as the official Fair poster for the Washington Parish Free Fair twice.

She does commissions in oils and watercolors and teaches workshops at the local museum.

Terry is a charter member of the Washington Art Association !

Terry Seal’s work is displayed at several locations through the Washington Art Association’s Rotating Gallery, displaying at Riverside Medical Center, Bo’s Restaurant, Sugar Shack Restaurant, Fair City ll Cafe, and Phillip Smith, CPA office.
